Cervantes to Perth

The low cloud just doesn’t want to leave us. We set off in quite gloomy conditions and even had a decent shower of rain.  We stopped at a couple of view points and the views to the coast were very nice but might have been better with a blue sky background.

We then turned off to visit the Pinnacles, a unique desert area where the shifting sands have exposed sandstone towers of various shapes and sizes that have been further shaped and eroded by the wind.

We then visited a very cool coastal town called Lancelin, a playground for Perth people and a gobsmackingly beautiful beach. Also a sandune playground for 4wd enthusiasts.

We then hit the main road towards Perth which just got busier and busier and finally hit the expressway to take us through the city. Two of the most prominent buildings in the  cbd are BHP and Rio Tinto, surprise surprise.

After a couple of minor navigation issues Caitlin and Daniel welcomed us into their lovely home.

We chilled for the afternoon then we went for an explore and sightsee to Coogee which is very nice, lots of new apartments being built, such a nice lifestyle. We had a drink and nibbles at a waterfront bar before heading to their local Beeliar pub for another drink and main course. Happy days.
